Our music finally is accessible on the web, among others on Spotify and on I-Tunes !!
Our short trip to UK was a blast, meeting and staying with our distant yet close pal Paul Henshaw and playing three pub-gigs. We were invited back at each and even got free drinks, apparently rather rare in UK (more details here).
Strangely, we got invited to play Valencia on top.
Over the few next weeks, some of us will travel, but we will be back for a number of gigs from mid-June till mid-July (see under upcoming gigs).
Bunch of Bastards are stoked to be visiting UK in general and Paul Henshaw in particular for three gigs in early May
5th May - The Vaults Bishops Castle
6th May - Percys Whitchurch
7th May - The Bear Bridgnorth
Support From - Paul Henshaw
So lads and lassies, our cd MY DRINKIN' AIN'T DONE is out there for you all to grab and enjoy. There is no song by that name, instead the title for our cd is taken from the lyrics of one of our songs. Soon, our tunes will soon also be available on I-tunes, Spotify and the like. Yet those interested in a beautiful hard copy with stunning artwork and with a lyrics booklet can buy it at our shows. It was sent of to some sites to be reviewed, we are looking forward, a bit nervously admittedly, to getting in some reviews.
So lads and lassies, with the writing, rehearsing, recording, mixing and mastering of songs as well as preparing artwork all are over and done with, and with printing, pressing and going online all in progress, we at BoB are proud and happy to annouce that we'll release our album MY DRINKIN' AIN'T DONE in mid March. The stunning beauty will be available at the four shows scheduled for the St Patrick's Day weekend (14 songs, lyrics booklet included, for a mere damage of 10 euro's).
The mayhem kicks off on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th, in case you didn't know) with a full show in Rockcafé Lazaru's in Leiden (showtime 21.00). Friday March 18th you can find us in De Nozem en de Non in Heemskerk (showtime 22.00). Saturday March 19th we travel south into Belgium for a gig in Ammehoela, Bree (showtime 22.00), and on our way back to our homes and normality, we will do a Sundayafternoonshow in The Mood in Dordrecht (showtime 17.00).
CU @ the bar !!
The 14 tracks BoB recorded recently have been mixed and are now being mastered. After first putting recording and mixing in the trusted hands of Theo Vogelaars (past member of Dutch rock legends Tröckener Kecks), we put the business of mastering in the equally trusted hands of Erik Dahlquist (past member of Sir Reg).
BoB are recording an album. In October, they went into the studio and recorded no fewer than 9 songs within 4 days. In December, they return to the studio for a weekend, aiming to record another couple of songs. Will keep you posted.
A word of warning is in place though: the recordings are strictly click-track free. So those who are used to computer-based music may have to face some changes in tempo as the songs unfold ;),
